This hat weighs almost nothing, which is fantastic. I love all kinds of hats but unfortunately most of them give me a headache; this one is loose and light enough not to do that, but it has the chin cord to secure it in case it gets windy. It has a hole in the back for a ponytail but it's not big enough to make the hat uncomfortable or pointless.

While I own a number of broad brim hats, this is the first purchase that includes one with a ponytail hole. I simply love that feature! The hat itself is lightweight and provides great protection for both the face and neck. The adjustable drawstrings assure a good fit on the head. Storage is very easy and the hat can be collapsed to fit inside a purse or easily stored in a vehicle.

I absolutely Love this hat. The color is like strawberry marshmallow cream. The strategically designed rims and layers are perfect protection against the cancer causing sun. The moisture wicking head band is cooling. there's a slot from which to free my pony tail. There's a chin strap to keep it on my head in place while walking down the beach. There's even a tie adjustment in the back.

Yes, lots of coverage at last! I sun burn super easily and I really needed a hat that will keep me cool and keep the sun off of my face and neck. This does the job nicely. It has a place for my pony tail or bun and provides all the coverage I need to keep from getting sun burned! If you burn easily or just like to hide your face, this is the hat for you!

As someone who is very sensitive to sun exposure but also loves the outdoors, I have a collection of sun hats. Each hat has its own benefits like wide brim, vented material, ponytail access, neck coverage and face coverage. This hat is the only one I have that has nearly all of the features I need in a hiking hat and I couldn't be happier. The hat snaps back into shape after shipping. There is no weird smell after removing from the package and it hat is well made and sewn. I have taken the extra step of spraying it with additional SPF protection for fabrics with the added bonus of water protections as well. Also as someone with a large head, this hat fits well and even has a little extra room for comfort. My ponytail, while isn't super thick, does fit easily in the access provided. I love this hat!!
